Building on over 60 years experience in Air Filtration, EMCEL Filters offer a comprehensive product range of both standard and custom designed filter elements & housings for many diverse applications… from straight forward HVAC filters to complex process and critical, air filtration systems. We manufacture our filters on site in Sussex.

Position Overview:

As a Stores Person at Emcel Filters, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse and materials management. Your responsibilities will encompass several key areas, including:

 

  1. Material Handling:

– Receive and document incoming materials and supplies. Booking in and out on our stocking system.

– Ensure accurate and organized storage of materials in the warehouse.

– Maintain appropriate inventory levels and perform regular stock checks.

 

  1. Space Management:

– Effectively manage warehouse space to optimize storage capacity.

– Arrange and label storage areas for easy accessibility.

– Implement efficient shelving and storage solutions to maximize space utilization.

 

  1. Communication:

– Collaborate with the inspection department to ensure quality control of incoming materials.

– Liaise with the purchasing department to coordinate material orders and deliveries.

– Communicate with production supervisors to fulfil material requirements and schedules.

– Organize free issue materials for sub-contractors and suppliers as needed.

 

  1. Housekeeping:

– Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

– Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in handling materials.

– Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs.

 

  1. Warehouse:

-Driving a forklift to load and unload deliveries and to load pallets on to racking will be needed. Training will be supplied to the successful candidate if required. Counterbalance and Reach Forklifts are in use.

Qualifications:

 

  • A full, clean UK driving license is required as the role will include driving a forklift on public highways
  • Previous experience in a similar stores or warehouse role is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and a dedication to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Minimum of a High School/ Secondary School level of education.
